Thank you to the 568 people who voted for me on Election Day, November 4th, 2014, I appreciate that. I especially want to thank the people at the Grand Manor Residence on White Plains in Soundview where I got 25% of the vote. I enjoyed campaigning & I especially enjoyed meeting a few thousand of my neighbors here in the Bronx, the place with the most freedom & liberty in all of the USA. We have to keep working to achieve social justice, a clean environment, Medicaid for All & a good economy for all.
In the November 2014 election in the Bronx’s 15th Congressional District, there was a 7% voter turnout. We get what we vote for. When we don’t vote, other people then make our decisions for us. Register to vote and vote whether for a candidate on the ballot or a write in candidate. You can register to vote online through the Dept. of Motor Vehicles or in person at the Board of Elections office at 1780 Grand Concourse or downtown at 200 Varick Street. Much of the Civil Rights in the USA in the 1960s and 70s was about getting the right to vote and being able to vote. Now that we have the right to vote, let’s use what rights we still have left to make changes for the better like social justice, a clean environment, better quality of education, free healthcare for all and a good economy for all.
I also want to thank the hundreds of people who have become registered Green Party voters the past 3 years. Registered Green Party voters have increased by 254% from April 2012 to April 2015 in the Bronx’s 15th Congressional District (south of Fordham Road, most of the Bronx is in the 15th CD).
Become a candidate, recommend good people you know to become candidates, talk about the issues & work on making the solutions to the issues happen 24/7/365. It is free to become a candidate, there are 2 forms to fill out to get on the ballot: the designating petition & the certificate of acceptance forms. Message, comment or email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about what you can do to make the solutions to issues we face happen, to become a candidate or to recommend people to become candidates.
Together we can achieve social justice, a clean environment, Medicaid for All & a good economy for all.
